Check-ups after parodontitis treatment

In a way, the check-ups are actually a form of prophylaxis:

Using prophylactic treatment, we try to stop the disease from reoccurring.Health care allows for only one removal of tartar per year, which is absolutely not enough for a patient with parodontitis.

After treatment, please follow this advice:
Week 1

  • Use antibacterial mouthwash in the morning and evening
  • Please don’t smoke or at least cut back
  • Don’t use the treated area for chewing
  • Don’t brush the treated area

Week 2-5

  • Use antibacterial mouthwash in the morning and evening
  • Don’t brush the treated area
  • Removal of stitches
  • Professional cleaning by our qualified personnel

Week 6

  • Professional cleaning by our qualified personnel
  • Careful brushing in the treated area
  • Protect the space between teeth

We will also plan regular control visits with you.
Additionally, first x-ray controls take place after 9-12 months in most cases.
